Abstract

Reflexão teórica a respeito do processo de transição a que passa o adolescente ao vivenciar a simultaneidade da adolescência, adoecimento e hospitalização. O direcionamento teórico que embasa essa reflexão tem como referencial as idéias de Roy, as quais oferecem ao enfermeiro subsídios para o cuidado de enfermagem a partir do conceito de adaptação. Busca ainda, conceituar os diferentes tipos de transição a que passa o adolescente, para indicar novos modos de cuidar e que fortaleçam o agir profissional do enfermeiro, demonstrando a verdadeira dimensão da prática de cuidar.
