Abstract

This study aims to examine the discourse of mental health workers of a substitutive service about accessibility
and hosting. This study has a qualitative approach. The corpus consists of interviews applied to 17 of 25 mental health
professionals working in a substitutive service of a city in southern Brazil. Data were organized according to the “axiologicaldiscursive
diagram “. The results show that, in the team work process, hosting and accessibility emerge as instrumentals
to systematize the service and as a technology of the relational care. However, the worker still seeks a balance between the
technology that “includes” and “organizes”. We hope this study serves as a subsidy to rethink the mental health
knowledge and practice, to strengthen and define the relationships between communities with services and between
services with the madness.
