THE WORK OF PRIMARY HEALTH CARE NURSES IN ONCOLOGY CARE: AN INTEGRATIVE REVIEW

Abstract

Objective: to identify the role of the primary health care nurses in oncology care, based on scientific literature evidence. Method: this is an integrative review with data collected in October 2017, from four databases, resulting in 117 articles. Based on the established inclusion criteria, seven articles were selected. Results: the articles allowed the organization of results into three thematic categories: six health care activities (86%); four health education activities (57%); and one professional primary health care competence (14%). Final considerations: in oncology nursing care, it is crucial to combine knowledge with clinical practice, centered in holism and individualized follow-up, to allow its involvement in activities related to healthcare, health education, and prevention and control actions in primary health care.

Graduada em Enfermagem pela Universidade para o Desenvolvimento do Estado e da Região do Pantanal (2007). Especialista em Atenção Básica e Saúde da Família pela Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso do Sul (2012). Pós graduada em Gestão Pública Municipal pela Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso do Sul (2012). Mestrado em Saúde da Família pela Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso do Sul (2016) Atualmente exerce atividades laborais na Coordenadoria de Vigilância Epidemiológica/Doenças Crônicas Não Transmissíveis - Vigilância do Câncer. Tem experiência na área de Enfermagem, com ênfase em Saúde Pública, Atenção Primária à Saúde e Estratégia Saúde da Família.

Possui graduação em Enfermagem pela Escola de Farmacia e Odont. de Alfenas (1981), Mestrado em Saúde Coletiva pela Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso do Sul (2002) e Doutorado em Saúde e Desenvolvimento na Região Centro-Oeste pela Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso do Sul (2011). Atualmente é Docente da Universidade Anhanguera - Uniderp e atua como Docente Colaboradora do Mestrado Profissional em Saúde da Família da Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso do Sul. Tem experiência na área de Saúde Coletiva, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: atenção primária à saúde, estratégia saúde da família, educação em saúde e avaliação de serviços de saúde.

Renata Palópoli Pícoli, Fundação Oswaldo Cruz de Mato Grosso do Sul

Possui graduação em Fonoaudiologia pela Universidade Católica Dom Bosco (2001), mestrado em Saúde Coletiva pela Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2005) e doutorado em Saúde Pública pela Universidade de São Paulo (2008). Atualmente é pesquisadora em saúde pública da Fundação Oswaldo Cruz- Mato Grosso do Sul. Tem experiência na área de Saúde Coletiva, com ênfase em Saúde dos Povos Indígenas, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: saúde materno-infantil, estratégia saúde da família, redes de atenção à saúde.
