Notice on Incomplete Submissions
Article Processing Charges – APC
To guarantee support services for the editing, publication, indexing, and dissemination of scientific journals, Cogitare Enfermagem will request:
1. Conformity Assessment Fee
1.1 The Conformity Assessment Fee of R$200.00 must be paid once the article has passed the First Stage.
Cogitare Enfermagem Journal does not charge any fees at the time of submission. The compliance assessment fee is part of the editorial process, which includes standardization and verification of the documentation required by the journal.
If the article is approved after the first review by the Editor-in-Chief, the corresponding author will receive an e-mail informing them about the continuation of the workflow and requesting payment of the Conformity Assessment Fee. The payment slip must be generated at the address that will be forwarded in the e-mail. Proof of payment must be attached under "Supplementary documents" in the Cogitare Enfermagem system.
*Once the article has been approved in the first stage, payment has been made and proof of payment of the Conformity Assessment Fee has been sent, the article will proceed to the second stage of evaluation.
2. Article Publication Fee
2.1 The Article Publication Fee will be R$1,000.00 and payment will only be requested if the article is "Accepted" for publication at the end of the Fourth Evaluation Stage.
Cogitare Enfermagem will send the corresponding author the final version of the article for approval and the Article Publication Fee slip. The corresponding author is responsible for consulting the other authors and expressing acceptance of the final version for publication.
Authors are responsible for paying for the translation of articles into English and Spanish, and Cogitare Enfermagem is exempt from this cost.

Cogitare Enfermagem exempts the processing and publication fees for original research articles developed by foreign authors affiliated with institutions in emerging countries, except Brazil.
In cases requiring correction, amendment and/or retraction, the author(s) must pay a fee of R$500.00 (five hundred Brazilian reais) for Brazilians and US$100.00 (one hundred dollars) for foreigners.
Instructions for Invoice Issuance:
To request the invoice for payment of the processing and/or publication fee, please follow the instructions below:
- Send an email to: financeiro.cogitare@gmail.com
- Include the proof of payment in the email.
- Provide the following information:
- Full name;
- CPF (Brazilian Individual Taxpayer Registry);
- Article ID and title;
- Funding details, such as project or agreement number, if applicable.
The invoice will be issued after all the required information has been received.
