Brachial plexus block in dogs using bupivacaine
Abstract
To evaluate the effects of regional anaesthesia in the brachial plexus of dogs using bupivacaine, 10 mixed breed dogs were submitted to brachial plexus blockage. Muscular relaxation, lost of sensibility signs and analgesia of the limb were noticed. The present study has shown that regional anaesthesia is easy to perform being an alternative procedure when the dog has no condition to be submitted to general anaesthesia.
