Abstract

This paper aims to identify the conceptual differences and similarities between Crises and Conflicts, comparing definitions of each of these terms, while providing empirical examples that illustrate the nuances of each. In the end, a summary was made of the main features that can be identified in its definitions, and it was analyzed the case of the annexation of the Crimea by Russia in 2014. As result, it was noted that there is a great interweaving and theoretical overlap between the terms when analyzed in empiricism.
